This item was recently
left on the grave of a deceased Philadelphia sports fan, so we're guessing
it may be a contemporary player of one of the Phila. sports teams. Jersey

Congressman or Senator. I believe the signature starts with the word "Rep..."
meanting representative. Initials "maybe" J C M

I
was able to *finally* identify this one as Jon Christensen, U.S. Representative
from Nebraska. He is married to former Miss America, Tara Dawn Holland.

Clarence
Jones. This was part of a collection I purchased, and was labeled former
Chicago Cub baseball player Clarence Jones. However, this is *not* that
person's signature. From the handwriting, I am guessing it is someone much
older, possibly from another sport?

Also
acquired in a collection purchase, this is a doctor's prescription, dated
1925... signed by doctor Joel E. Toothaker. I'm assuming the doctor that
signed it is a notable, from Centralia, Washington.
|
UPDATE:
it definitely is the Dr. Toothaker from Centralia, WA -- his son, also
named Joel, is still practicing medicine there. I'm trying to figure out,
though, why this would be part of an autograph collection?

this is a music signature... as the item that actually is signed is an

Frank
wrote in needing help identifying the signatures on this hat. He believes
it was from the late 1980s or early 90s, and possibly from the New York
Yankees, or obtained at a card show.
|
On
Sep 1, 2013, Mike A identified Buck Showalter in the center of the hat...
Cord identified another sig possibly as Billy Connors (coach).. which would
make the ball from 1994. Daryl Boston has also been identified (by Cord)
-- which would confirm this is a 1994 Yankees hat.

A
baseball I picked up in a thrift shop for $4. Unfortunately the baseball
is in poor condition, with some signatures being in a red Sharpie, and
others in a faded ballpoint pen. The signed item is a Charles Feeney Official
Natl. League Baseball, so I date it post 1970. I believe I have identified
one signature of catcher Larry Cox, and a second as Hall of Famer Gary
Carter. These two do not seem to have any connection in major league baseball,
except that they are both catchers. The lone signature is also signed in
red Sharpie, and seems to have the initials "GG."
|
**
SOLVED ** We heard from several site visitors that this ball is a team
signed baseball of the 1975 Phillies. I am still sure this also features
a signature of Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter.
